We’ve experimented with this Chili recipe over the years. This is the version we really enjoy.

I generally go light on the hot spices for my wife’s sake, then add more “heat” to my own bowl. The general concept is to major on the blend of flavors… not “Burn the throat past recognition”.
Bring to slow boil and reduce heat to low and simmer.
Stir periodically during the next 45 minutes to an hour, then serve hot.
This is a great Baked Potato Soup recipe. Tasty fresh, or when nuked as leftovers.

In my mind, Panera Bread makes the best Tomato Bisque Soup. This one is pretty good, though (for a low fat recipe).
Jayce — thanks for the recipe for chili; I love making chili and will give this a try the next time I make some; just made some of my own about 10 days ago, and it is about gone. Ginny doesn’t like chili so much, so I enjoy it by myself, or when we have a SuperBowl Party.
Thanks again.
Thanks, John. Hope you enjoy it. Like I said, Diane doesn’t like real spicy food, while I do. I add the hot stuff to my own bowl… and enjoy.
